This doesn’t really count for our trip because we’ve been here before – 12 years ago with the kids. And this 50/50 trip is supposed to be about new places and new experiences. But, come on, we were staying 2 miles away! So, we made a little evening trip to hike around and get pics. And, we had heard that Pikes Peak was the backdrop to Garden of the Gods so I had to check that out for myself because I hadn’t remembered that.
