Seven Bridges Trail

So as we made our way along this beautiful trail you have to imagine Kristi counting the bridges like The Count from Sesame Street because this is often how she likes to count things in life.

This is on the crazy, often times one-laned road to the trailhead. I thought Pikes Peak would be treacherous, but it felt much safer than this dirty, bumpy, silly road into the mountains.

Seven! There are, in fact, seven bridges on the Seven Bridges Trail (unlike the Lost Mine Trail, on which there was no mine).

We met a nice couple from Michigan and exchanged taking pics.

Gorgeous trees and mountains

A bridge we assumed we’d eventually come to but we never did.

The raging little river was beautiful and FREEZING!
