This hike took us down into the canyons carved by the Rio Grande. As with our other hikes, there were numerous horses but no other animals spotted. We could look right across to Mexico, and the canyon is named for the nearby Mexican town of Boquillas.

Stunning view from inside the canyon.

View from the top of the canyon and over to Mexico on the left.
Beautiful drone footage with a surprising twist at the end!

Prettiest horse we saw.

A mama and her foal nursing. You could hear the cute little slurping.

Mexican horse or American horse?

Jerry having lots of fun flying his drone unaware of what lies ahead!

Drone down! Glad he found it!

Oh no! She lost a propeller.

That was so fun! Do I get a prize for watching to the end of the drone footage? It WAS cool :). Glad you got it back. It was neat to get more perspective than just a photo, it captured more of the grandeur.

Yes I’ll think of a prize! Maybe a tree? You really seem to like them! Haha! Thanks for watching!

Yeah, I had a spare set of propellers and it flies fine!
